These terms and conditions apply to purchases in the online shop greenbase.cz. They are effective from 1 October 2026. This is a translation for your convenience. If the Czech and English versions differ, the Czech version prevails.

1. Who we are and who the terms apply to

1.1. The seller is Greenbase, s.r.o., registered office Bezručova 337, 252 63 Roztoky, Czech Republic, company ID 069 71 695, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, file 291318 (the "seller").

1.2. Contact: e-mail info@greenbase.cz, phone +420 724 218 529, postal address and premises Bezručova 337, 252 63 Roztoky.

1.3. The terms govern the rights and obligations of the seller and the customer (the "buyer") when goods are bought through the online shop. They form part of the purchase contract. Anything the parties agree differently takes precedence over the terms.

1.4. A consumer is a person who buys outside their business or profession. Provisions that expressly refer to a consumer do not apply to a buyer who purchases as a business. The contract is governed by Czech Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and for consumers also by Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on Consumer Protection.

2. Ordering and conclusion of the contract

2.1. Each product page shows a description, the price and availability. The offer is valid while stocks last.

2.2. The buyer adds goods to the cart, fills in contact and delivery details and chooses shipping and payment. Before placing the order the buyer sees a summary including the total price with shipping and any payment fee, and can check and correct the details.

2.3. The buyer places the order with the button "Order with obligation to pay". By placing the order the buyer confirms that they have read these terms and undertakes to pay the total price.

2.4. The purchase contract is concluded by placing the order, as soon as the shop accepts it and shows the buyer the order page with the order number. If the order cannot be accepted, for example because the goods have run out in the meantime, the shop tells the buyer straight away and no contract is concluded. The seller also confirms the contract by e-mail, which includes a summary of the order and the text of these terms. The contract is valid even if the e-mail does not reach the buyer.

2.5. The contract can be concluded in Czech or English. The seller stores the order electronically. The buyer can access it through the link in the order confirmation.

2.6. The buyer bears their own costs of using means of distance communication (internet, phone); these do not differ from the standard rate.

3. Price and payment

3.1. Prices are in Czech crowns (CZK) and are final, including all taxes and charges. The seller is not registered for value added tax (VAT). The shipping price and any fee for the chosen payment method are shown at checkout before the order is placed. If the price of the goods after discounts reaches the amount the seller states in the cart and at checkout, delivery is free. The fee for the chosen payment method is charged in that case as well.

3.2. The price shown at the moment the order is placed applies. If the seller announces an offer in which one piece is free for a certain number of pieces in the cart (for example "3 + 1 free"), all pieces in the cart count towards it regardless of the product, and the cheapest pieces are always the free ones. The offer repeats for larger quantities. The number of free pieces and the resulting price are shown in the cart and at checkout before the order is placed.

3.3. You can pay by the methods offered at checkout for the chosen delivery:

cash on delivery when you receive the parcel from the carrier,
by bank transfer to the seller's account; you receive the account number, the variable symbol and a QR code after placing the order, on the order page and in the order confirmation,
in cash at personal pickup, if personal pickup is offered.

3.4. For bank transfers the price is due within 3 days of the conclusion of the contract. If the last day of this period falls on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the period ends on the next working day. The seller states the last day for payment in the order confirmation and on the order page. The seller dispatches the goods once the payment has been credited. If the price is not paid within this period, the seller may withdraw from the contract and cancel the order, and will inform the buyer by e-mail.

3.5. The seller does not require a deposit. A proof of purchase is handed over with the goods or sent by e-mail.

4. Delivery

4.1. The seller delivers only to addresses in the Czech Republic, by the method the buyer chooses at checkout. Personal pickup at the seller's premises is possible only if it is offered at checkout.

4.2. Goods in stock are usually dispatched within 2 working days of the conclusion of the contract, or of the payment being credited in the case of a bank transfer. The goods will be delivered within 30 days of the conclusion of the contract at the latest. Live plants are dispatched so that they do not stay in transit over a weekend; in severe frost or heat the seller may postpone dispatch by agreement with the buyer.

4.3. The buyer must take delivery of the goods. If the buyer fails to collect the parcel without reason and it is returned to the seller, the seller may claim the shipping costs actually incurred.

4.4. We recommend inspecting the parcel on receipt. If the packaging is visibly damaged, we recommend recording the damage with the carrier or refusing the parcel, and taking photos. This does not affect the buyer's rights arising from defective performance.

4.5. The risk of damage passes to the buyer on receipt of the goods. Ownership passes to the buyer on payment of the full price, but not before the goods are received.

4.6. Please unpack live plants as soon as possible after delivery and follow the growing instructions shown with the product.

5. Consumer's right of withdrawal

5.1. A consumer may withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days of the day on which the consumer, or a person indicated by the consumer other than the carrier, received the goods. If the order is delivered in several parcels, the period runs from receipt of the last one. The deadline is met if the consumer sends the withdrawal notice within this period.

5.2. Withdrawal can be made by any unambiguous statement. The easiest way is online, with the "Withdraw from contract here" button in the footer of every page of the shop and on the order page. The consumer states their name, the order number and an e-mail address for the acknowledgement, and sends the statement with the "Confirm withdrawal" button. The seller sends an acknowledgement of receipt to that e-mail address without undue delay, including the content of the statement and the date and time it was submitted. The button is available on the website at all times, which does not extend the period under article 5.1. Withdrawal can also be made by e-mail to info@greenbase.cz or by letter to the seller's address, for example using the model form at the end of these terms. The seller confirms receipt of such a withdrawal by e-mail without undue delay as well.

5.3. The consumer sends or hands over the goods to the seller at Bezručova 337, 252 63 Roztoky without undue delay and no later than 14 days after withdrawal. The consumer bears the cost of returning the goods. The goods, live plants in particular, must be packed so that they are not damaged in transit. Goods cannot be returned cash on delivery.

5.4. The seller refunds all payments received from the consumer, including delivery costs, within 14 days of withdrawal, using the same means of payment unless agreed otherwise with the consumer. Payments made by cash on delivery are refunded by bank transfer to an account the consumer sends to the seller by e-mail, at no additional cost to the consumer. If the consumer chose a delivery method other than the cheapest one offered, the seller refunds delivery costs in the amount of the cheapest method offered. The seller is not obliged to refund before receiving the goods or before the consumer proves that they have been sent.

5.5. The consumer is liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. For live plants this means in particular damage or death caused by unsuitable care after receipt.

5.6. The right of withdrawal under this article does not apply in the cases listed in Section 1837 of the Czech Civil Code, in particular goods made or adapted to the consumer's wishes. The seller points out such goods directly in the offer.

5.7. If a gift was provided with the goods, the gift contract is concluded on the condition that it ceases to exist if the consumer withdraws from the purchase contract, and the gift is returned together with the goods.

5.8. Free pieces from an offer under article 3.2 are not a gift but a discount on the price of the whole order. If the consumer withdraws from the whole order, the seller refunds everything the consumer paid. If the consumer withdraws from only part of the order and the goods they keep would not have qualified for the same number of free pieces, the seller refunds the price of the returned goods reduced by the discount the consumer is no longer entitled to.

6. Withdrawal by the seller

6.1. The seller may withdraw from the contract if the goods cannot be delivered for objective reasons (for example the plants died or sold out before dispatch) or if the buyer has not paid the price under article 3.4. The seller informs the buyer by e-mail without delay and refunds all payments received within 14 days.

7. Defects and complaints

7.1. The seller is responsible for the goods being free of defects on receipt: they match the agreed description, type, quantity and quality, are fit for their usual purpose and, in the case of plants, come with growing instructions.

7.2. A consumer may report a defect that appears within two years of receipt. If a defect appears within one year of receipt, the goods are presumed to have been defective on receipt, unless the nature of the goods or of the defect rules this out.

7.3. Natural changes of a live plant (growth, flowering, seasonal leaf drop, small differences in shape and size compared with the photo) and damage or death caused by unsuitable care, placement or handling after receipt are not defects.

7.4. If the goods are defective, the consumer may request removal of the defect, that is delivery of new goods without the defect or a repair, unless this is impossible or disproportionately costly. If the seller refuses to remove the defect or does not remove it within a reasonable time, if the defect recurs or is a material breach of contract, the consumer may request a reasonable discount or withdraw from the contract. Withdrawal is not possible if the defect is insignificant.

7.5. A complaint can be made by e-mail to info@greenbase.cz, in writing or in person at the seller's address. Please state the order number, a description of the defect and how you would like the complaint to be resolved. For plants damaged in transit it helps to photograph the defect and report it as soon as possible after receipt, because the plant keeps developing.

7.6. The seller gives the consumer written confirmation (by e-mail) of when the complaint was made, what it concerns and which remedy is requested. The complaint, including removal of the defect, is resolved within 30 days of being made, unless a longer period is agreed with the consumer. If the period expires without result, the consumer may withdraw from the contract or request a reasonable discount. The seller issues confirmation of how the complaint was resolved.

7.7. The consumer is entitled to reimbursement of costs reasonably incurred in making a justified complaint. Reimbursement must be requested within one month after the end of the period in which the defect can be reported.

7.8. A buyer who is not a consumer must inspect the goods as soon as possible after receipt and report defects without undue delay. Their rights are governed by Section 2099 et seq. of the Czech Civil Code.

8. Complaints and out-of-court dispute resolution

8.1. The seller handles complaints at info@greenbase.cz.

8.2. A consumer has the right to out-of-court resolution of a consumer dispute arising from the purchase contract. The competent body is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Central Inspectorate, ADR Department, Štěpánská 796/44, 110 00 Praha 1, coi.gov.cz/informace-o-adr. The consumer may also go to court.

8.3. Compliance with consumer protection law is supervised by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.gov.cz), personal data protection by the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz). The seller operates under a trade licence; trade licensing checks are carried out by the competent trade licensing office.

8.4. The seller is not bound by any code of conduct.

9. Product information

9.1. Descriptions of the goods and their traditional uses are for information only. The goods on offer are not medicinal products and the information on this website does not replace the advice of a doctor or pharmacist.

10. Personal data

10.1. Information on the processing of personal data and on cookies is given on the Privacy policy page. No consent to data processing is needed to make a purchase and the seller does not send marketing messages.

11. Final provisions

11.1. The contract is governed by the law of the Czech Republic. A consumer habitually resident in another Member State of the European Union is not deprived of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of that state.

11.2. If any provision of these terms is invalid or ineffective, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.

11.3. The seller may change the terms. Each order is governed by the version in force on the day the order is placed, which the buyer receives with the order confirmation.
